10 Best Homework Tips for Fed-Up Families

1. Make a list of your family's major homework issues/ problems. Does homework take too much time? Do your kids have trouble getting started, keeping track of assignments, turning it all in? Are you tired of feeling as though it is your homework? Write down whatever is bothering you. You cannot solve a problem until you know exactly what it is.

Share the list with your kids. You might say, "I've been thinking about how every night we fight about homework. Here's the list of what really makes me crazy. I'd like to have some enjoyable evenings, wouldn't you? What do you think is causing all of the problems?" Listen to what your kids say! They are truly the ones suffering!

2. Address the problems and solutions you and your child discussed in a Homework Contract. This doesn't have to be anything fancy, just be sure to include answers to any on-going homework. 7. Create a homework friendly home. Ask yourself, "If I were a kid, could I do homework at our house?" Is your home too noisy, too messy, too dark? Do you have a good dictionary- and can anyone find it? Making your home homework friendly does not have to be an expensive or time-consuming- but it does require some thought and effort.

8. Don't hover or, worse, do your child's homework. It blows my mind when parents tell me that they sit next to their children while they do their homework. (Okay, maybe I understand doing it for the first week of two of kindergarten, but after that? Stop it!) Your children work

independently at school, and they can do it at home. And, stop doing their homework for them. If it is too difficult, speak to the teacher or get them some outside (tutoring) help.

9. Make your kids go to bed! They need sleep more than another page of math problems, trust me. And, if you don't trust me, there are plenty of sleep studies to back me up. Forget the fact there are a myriad of physical, social, psychological and developmental reasons why kids needs the proper amount of sleep; chronically sleep-deprived students can't learn. So, it is okay if your child stays up late once in awhile working on a project, but it should be a very rare occurrence.

10. They are your kids, and you are in charge. I am not suggesting that you begin second-guessing, questioning and criticizing your child's teacher (please, don't!). Do something!

Parenting teenagers can be challenging at times. The teenage years can be a time when teens feel they are grown. They think they've learned everything they need to know. They often feel their parents are outdated and don't know what they're going through. They rebel against rules and limitations. Teenagers want to take charge of their lives but they're not quite ready for to handle the responsibility. Being a teenager is a difficult time period for young people. They are gradually making the transition from childhood to adulthood but are not quite there yet. There is an inner struggle between child and adult going on inside of them. The teenage years are a difficult time for teens as well as their parents. But there are ways to ease the transitional period for both parents and their teenage children.

Keep the lines of communication open.

Be honest with your teen. Share your feelings and concerns. Perhaps your teenager will do the same. Even if your teen doesn't open up to you right away, that's okay. Most teenagers find it difficult to talk to their parents. The important thing is that you let your teen know you are always available if he wants to talk.

Set limitations but let your teen have his say too.

Include your teen in discussions and decisions that involve him. For example, you don't want your 16 year old son out until 2 in the morning so you set a time for him to be home that is agreeable to both you and him. If you work together to set house rules your teen will be more likely to obey them and there will be less disagreements. The key is to compromise and your teenager needs to understand that as well.

Be firm and stick to your word.

Every now and then your teenager may have an unreasonable request. In certain circumstances you will have to say no. When saying no is in your child's best interest be firm and stick to your word. Your teenager may be angry or upset at first but he'll get over it.
Give your teenager responsibility.
You can't expect your teenager to be responsible if you never allow him to have any responsibility.

Give advice rather than orders.

Your teenager will be much more likely to listen to you if you advise him rather than just bark orders at him. Take the time to listen to yourself when talking to your teen. How do you really sound?

Be supportive.

Support your teen in his endeavors but allow him to learn from the consequences of his own actions. If you pick up the pieces every time he acts irresponsibly your teenager will become dependent rather than independent. Encourage your teenager to overcome obstacles and set goals for himself. Set a good example for him.

Be patient and positive.

Be patient with your teenager. Remind yourself that he is going through a difficult time too. Learn to control your anger. If you are angry over something your teen has said or done take time to calm down first and then discuss the offense with your teen later. Keep a positive attitude. If you have a negative attitude it will eventually rub off on your teen too. Negativity accomplishes nothing but a positive attitude can make a world of difference.

Child health or safety issues face us every day. Every generation is smarter, bolder, and more curious than the preceding generation. That is why it is imperative that we address safety issues and keep a keener eye on our children.

Lately, summertime is a time for concern as the number of children drowning has reached nauseating heights. Even one child dying by accidental drowning is too much and something that no parent or guardian can ever fully forgive themselves for. Fences and locking gates around pools have just been implemented in the public conscious because of such tragedies that have occurred over the past several years.

Other child health or safety issues revolve around lead in toys that are imported from overseas. Although lead has been banned from paint on toys in the United States since the late seventies, other countries still have no restrictions and perhaps use it for its economic values or a lack of education as to the danger of it. America has a responsibility to educate and perhaps help fund those countries and companies to make the transition to non lead paint.

Plastic can also contain lead and has yet been banned from plastics on children's toys. Lead actually makes plastic more flexible and more durable in heat. But a health issue is that when plastic is exposed to some detergents the chemical bond between lead and plastic breaks down and forms a dust that can be ingested through inhalation and lead to respiratory infections and other incubating afflictions.

Children's health or safety issues should be at the forefront of the country's concerns as we are now more knowledgeable about chemical interactions and residues exposed under certain circumstances like washings. For a prosperous country the health and safety of its citizens is a major concern and subject to intense alterations of manufacturing.

‘ War always bring human suffering”. Peperangan akan menimbulkan dampak yang sangat merugikan-tak ada kalah atau menang dalam peperangan, yang ada hanya penderitaan umat manusia. Perang saudara antara Vietnam Utara dan Selatan telah rakyat Negara itu meninggalkan negaranya mencari tempat menyelamatkan dari kekejaman pembunuhan, penindasan dan kekejaman lain di luar prikemanusiaan.

Perjanjian gencatan senjata hasil perundingan di Paris 23 Januari 1973, setelah lebvihg kurang tiga tahun berperang tidak membawa hasil. Akibatnya rakyat kedua faksi itu menggunakan perahu mengarungi lautan yang luas tanpa tujuan. Pertama kali pengungsi Vietnam tib di daratan Indonesia tepat di Pulau Laut, Natuna. Kapal kayu yang digunakan mengangkut dua puluh empat penumpang tiba 22 Mei 1975, tapi jumlah itu meningkat drastic dari hari ke hari dan dalam waktu singkat mencapai 45.000 pengungsi yang disebut “ manusia perhau “ . Ini memaksa Pemerintah Daerah Riau ( kala itu ) menempatkan mereka di Pulau Tanjung Unggat, Air Raja Bintan Timur.

Indonesia tidak bias menolak kedatangan mereka karena alas an kemanusiaan. Selain itu Indonesia merupakan Negara yang paling dekat dengan Vietnam . Tercatat 250.000 pengungsi asal Vietnam tiba di Indonesia dan terdampar di berbagai pulau di wilayah Riau termasuk Kalimantan. 21 Februari 1979, pengungsi Vietnam ini ditetapkan sebagai tragedy internasional. Oleh sebab itu, Negara-negara AEAN menggelar rapat di Jakarta pada 15-16 Mei 1979. Rapat yang dihadiri oleh 10 negara Asean juga delegasi dari Brazil, Canada, Jerman Timur, Prancis, Jerman Barat, New Zealand, Norwegia, Swedia, Switzland, Amerika Serikat , Jepang, Korea Utara, Inggeris, Belanda , Austria, Australia serta Utusan Perserikatan Bangsa-Bangsa yang dalam hal ini diwakili United Nation Human High Commisioner for Refugees ( UNHCR ), urusan pengungsi .

Pertemuan lanjutan di Jenewa 2 November 1979, dan Pemerintah Indonesia sanggup menampung 250.000 pengungsi tersebut. Dan Pulaung Galang menjadi tempat berkumpulnya pengungsi sebanyak 250.000 orang. Kebutuhan hidup para pengungsi dari UNHCR. Pulau Galang yang luasnya 8,550 hektar itu mampu menampung semua pengungsi yang masih berada di pulau lain. September 1980 Pemerintah Indonesia dan Komando Satuan Pengamanan dan Pengawasan pengungsi Vietnam di Pulau Galang mulai membangun sarana dan prasarana seperti saluran air bersih, penerangan, rumah sakit, dan barrack. Banyak pengungsi kekurangan gizi akibat kekurangan makanan selama diperjalanan yang jauh dan bahan makanan yang terbatas diatas perahu. Selain itu ada juga pengungsi yang mengalami nasib tragis, dirampok di tengah laut dan di rampok. Oleh sebab itu, para pengungsi trauma dan bertekat tidak akan pulang ke Negara mereka meski sudah aman.

Pulau Galang, berjarak 60 kilomter dari Pusat Kota Batam itu mulai dikenal dunia. Agar pengungsi tidak melarikan diri menggunakan kapal mereka dari penampungan, maka kapal itu dibakar tiba di Pulau Galang. Di sebuah batu tertulis : ‘ Somebody could safely anchor, Though we don’t mention pirates, Oh! My boat was robbed at times, Oh! How cruel the pirate were. Tidak hanya pengungsi asal Vietnam yang di tampung di sini, tapi juga dari Kamboja. Hampir 17 tahun pengungsi Vietnam dan Kamboja berada di Pulau Galang.

Jumlah pengungsi makin berkurang dari tahun ke tahun setelah pihak PBB mengizinkan mereka pergi ke luar negeri setelah mendapat suaka politik. Untuk membuka akses agar para penngungsi bias berhubungan dengan dengan keluarga mereka di luar negeri seperti di Negara Australia, Salandia Baru, Amerika, Jerman dan lain-lain, pihak UNCHR di Pulau Galang menyediakan perangko untuk berkirim surat.

Dari surat menyurat itu pengungsi di Pulau Galang mengetahui bagaimana cara mencari suaka politik, dan bia bertemu keluarga mereka di Negara tujuan. Bahkan diterbitkan sebuah majalah yakni Tu Do yang bermakna : kebebasan. Majalah ini merupakan sarana untuk pencerahan mereka yang dicetak 500 eksemplar dan dibagikan. Dituangkan juga dalam majalah itu kesuksesan keluarga mereka di luar negeri setelah mendapat suaka politik. Tahun 1996, hanya 4,570 pengungsi tersisa di Pulau Galang, dan atas persetujuan Dewan Keamanan PBB, maka sisa pengungsi itu dipulangkan ke Negara asa mereka di Vietnam yang disebut : Repatriasi. Tapi ada juga repatriasi ke Negara lain. “ Semua pengungsi pulang ke negaranya kira-kira Agustus 1996,” kata Kepala Bagian Humas otorita Batam, Dwi Joko Susilo kepada Tempo.

Yang tertinggal hanya makam para pengungsi, patung Quan Am To. Patung ini terawatt baik hingga kini dan dijadikan objek wisata. Tanaman itu hanya sebagai makanan tambahan, sebab para perngungsi mendapat ransom dari UNCR setiap hari seperti beras,garam, gula , cabe, sayur-sayuran dan susu bubuk. Selain itu mendapat jatah makanan kaleng serta lauk-pauk kaleng seperti curry chichen, sardines dan lain.lain.

How to use Stencils / Sticker Tattoos

Stencils are either made of Rubber or a Flexible Plastic similar to a sticker. They have an adhesive backing.
Stencils can be used to make Henna Tattoos.
Select the area of the skin where the tattoo will be applied. Cleanse the area thoroughly with soap and water. Dry the area completely.

	Gently separate the two films peeling off the white paper at a 90⁰ angle
	Apply adhesive side to the skin where desired. Press film and wait for 1-2 minutes.
	Slowly and carefully peel off the transparent film. (This step is not applicable for re-usable plastic / rubber stencils.) Please proceed with the next step.
	Fill the open areas of the Stencil with Henna Paste
	Leave to dry for up to 1 hour. Remove the sticker tattoo once henna is dry.

For external use only. Please do not use on allergic skin.

How to mix henna

This is a simple recipe for mixing henna. Its simplicity is one of the reasons we use it. Except for the henna powder, all the tools and materials needed to mix the recipe and apply the paste can be found in most kitchens, or at almost any grocery store. Also. because it's simple, it's an easy recipe to teach and for others to learn and remember. If you are new to henna painting, this recipe is a good start, but look around at what other practicioners are doing too. Keep in mind that no recipe is a guarantee of immediate success because there are a great many variables that affect the results you get, so you have to be willing to inquire and experiment until you find a combination of materials and techniques that works for you. To prepare a batch of henna paste, you'll need: Henna powder (one ounce will decorate six people’s hands)... A few ounces of very strong tea or coffee... Two lemons or limes... A tea strainer or a fine seive... A wooden or stainless steel spoon... A ceramic, glass or stainless steel bowl to mix the henna... A small bowl for the lemon or lime juice... A general rule in mixing henna is that the more acidic the mixture, the darker the stain. If the paste doesn't give a dark enough stain, add lemon or lime juice to the paste.
Mixing the henna paste...
	Use the strainer to sift the henna powder into a bowl.
	Strain the juice from one lemon or lime into the bowl with the henna powder, and stir the mixture, adding just enough lemon or lime juice to make the henna form a paste as thick as cookie dough. Save at least one more lemon or lime for the next day.
	Add just enough very hot, very strong tea or coffee to make the henna paste a little softer than tooth paste, then stir the paste until it is very smooth. Cover the henna paste and leave it over night for the dye to develop.
Decorating with henna... I don't do any special skin preparation before applying henna. My experience has been that if the skin is clean and dry, and free of residues from lotions and oils, and if the henna paste is acidic enough, the henna paste will color the skin without any other treatment. A simple and surprisingly useful tool for applying henna is a flat toothpick. They're easy to come by, cheap, durable, and they are the right size and give the right amount of control for doing fine and complex patterns. And, for the tradition-minded among you, a sliver of wood or bone is commonly used as a henna application tool in some places in the world. You can use the broad end of the toothpick like a tiny spatula for laying on the henna paste, and the edges for shaping the lines and removing any excess. The pointed end works well for applying small amounts of henna paste in tight spaces. A toothpick is also a better tool than a brush if you use unsifted henna powder, because the unsifted henna can quickly clog up a brush and make it difficult to control. If you prefer brushes, we recommend you make your paste with finely sifted henna powder and use a small, fine brush such as a fine oil painting or lip liner brush. You might also want to soften the paste with more lemon juice to make it flow more easily from the bristles. The dye in the henna will be most effective on the palms of the hands, and the soles of the feet. The henna will usually show less strongly on other parts of the body. Heat and perspiration will make the dye darker on the skin. Also, the henna will dye more strongly if it is kept moist and left on the skin for at least six hours. Wrapping is a good way to hold the henna in place and keep it from drying so the dye will make a dark stain on the skin.
How to make a squeeze applicator... Well-sifted henna can be used to make the lace-like patterns seen in traditional Pakistani henna decoration. A cone made of a piece of plastic cut out of a freezer bag is a good tool for applying fine and intricate decorations. However if you have bought one of our Henna Kits, you get a few ready-to-use applicator cones and you can simply put a tablespoon full of the henna paste into the cone and proceed with instructions below.
	Cut a square 5"x5" out of a plastic freezer bag. Have 10 1" to 2" pieces of tape ready. Put a tablespoon of henna paste on the center of the plastic square. The henna should be about the consistency of toothpaste.
	Fold up one side, then the other to make a cone shape.
	Roll the tip of the cone between your thumb and forefinger until the hole at the tip of the cone is about the diameter of a sewing needle, then wrap the plastic around the sides of the cone around smoothly and neatly.
	Secure the sides and firm the cone tip with tape. Fold down the top and tape it. Tape every spot that is likely to ooze henna all over your hands when you squeeze the cone. Also, wrap tape around the tip of the cone to hold its shape. A tapestry needle is a handy tool for keeping the tip clear so the henna paste flows smoothly.
	Use the cone as you would a cake decorator to make fine lines by gently squeezing the henna paste out of the tip.
Wrapping it up... I've been experimenting with different ways of wrapping henna work for a couple of years. I first heard about wrapped henna work in articles about the Tuareg, a desert people who traditionally henna both the bride and groom before a wedding. To conserve water, they will use leaves, rags, or even plastic bags to wrap the couple's feet and hands after the henna is applied. Other people use wrapping with henna as well, especially groups that live in dry climates. Even in a less arid climate, wrapping can be helpful. The henna has to stay in place for several hours to leave a dark stain, and wrapping can keep an intricate design from being spoiled by accidental rubbing. If you want to try wrapping, here's what you'll need: Tissue paper...toilet rolls are easiest to use for spiral wrapping around an arm or leg. Plastic wrap...the rolls of plastic film used to cover food work best. Packing tape...get the type that comes in rolls about 2in. (5cm.) wide.
	Allow the henna to dry on your skin, but not to flake off! I've been using a liquid bandage compound called "New Skin" as a fixative to help hold the henna in place. It also seems to promote the henna's reaction with the skin and make a darker stain. You can find New Skin in pharmacies in the first aid section). It's is not absolutely necessary to use New Skin, but I think it's helpful. Try it and see if it works for you.
	Carefully wrap your dry henna patterns to your skin with unrolled cotton balls, toilet paper or paper tape. It is important not to dislodge any of your henna!
	Then, wrap the tissue with a layer of plastic wrap, This will make your skin warmer, and make it perspire a little. Your perspiration will make the henna slightly damp again, and increase its reaction with your skin.
	To hold everything in place. wrap the layers of tissue and plastic with packing tape. Your wrap should be very firm, so the henna is held securely in place on the skin.
	A good wrap will make your henna much darker! A careful wrap will keep your henna exactly in place all night as you sleep, too.

Google AdSense Tips

oogle AdSense has been one of the most misunderstood income tools on the web in recent memory. Every time you turn around there is someone peddling their "book" on how to make money with Google AdSense.

If you haven't learned this lesson already, here it is: Nothing is as easy as people claim it is.

What is Google AdSense? Essentially you are "partnering" with Google to display their advertising on your website. Google has a highly intelligent media bot that scans your page and can understand the basis of the page in less than a second and then displays ads relevant to your content.

To see AdSense in "action" simply look to your right or left. Those are AdSense ads.

Everytime a visitor clicks on one of the Google Ads, we share in the revenue Google earned for that click. Google will not disclose the percentage that is shared, but we do know the percentage "floats" depending upon your earnings. The more you earn, the higher your cut. This seems to be Google's way to reward their best partners.

You can also have Google's Search Box on your site, however, we have found through testing that this method of monetizing your site is very difficult as opposed to hosting ads directly.

One of the first things that you want to do after getting approval for your AdSense account is to add the following line to your robots.txt file:

User-agent: Mediapartners-Google Disallow:

This will ensure that Google's Media Bot will be able to crawl your pages correctly and display the correct ads. Most people complain that when they first start out with Google AdSense the only ads that display are the Public Service ads which do not give a rev share if they are clicked on. Simply adding the line in the robots.txt corrects the issue for nearly all users.

Most people are also not thrilled at hosting ads for their competition. They feel that by doing so it will take sales / customers away from them and instead give them to their competitors. The logic is sound, but the reality is, it doesn't happen. Here are test results from the hundreds of domains that we manage.

On average, the conversion ratio is 1.2%, meaning that for every 100 visitors, one person buys. It is pretty standard across the web. Now, after adding Google AdSense to these domains, the click through rate to the Google ads was 6.3%, meanings for every 100 visitors, 6 clicked on a competitor ad and left the site. Most site owners would see those figures and panic, however, the conversion ratio held steady at 1.2%.

What does this mean?

That visitors who are not going to buy are just not going to buy, and those that will buy do. Instead of monetizing just one visitor out of one hundred, you are monetizing seven (one sale and six AdSense clicks).

How Do You Get Started? Getting started is easy, just Google AdSense and you will be directed right to Google's AdSense application.

Make sure you review Google's terms for this program. Never click your own ads and don't ask others to do it either. That is fraud and Google will shut your account down if there is evidence you are frauding the system.

Google is a great partner to have and they have out performed Yahoo! Publisher in our testing.

Banned by Google AdSense

I just received another sad letter from a person who got the "dreaded letter" from Google. Their AdSense account had been terminated! To add insult to injury, according to Google's terms of service, any money owed at that point will NOT be paid; it is returned to the advertisers.

Don't let it happen to you!

Clicking your own links is not the only way to get banned. For example, I never tell or show friends or relatives my sites. Call me paranoid, but Google's reach is so broad that I am afraid they could make the connection if those friends started clicking my ads. Who knows...but I am not taking any chances!

If you violate "minor" rules, they may be nice and just warn you. Or they will just hit the ban button depending I think on the mood of the reviewer at the time. Make sure you read the rules and follow them!

Another person asked me if the way they had pictures near their ads violated rules. If it was obvious to me it was a rules violation, imagine what the Google reviewer would think!

One more example:

A person contacted me about their site which was doing poorly with respect to traffic. I took one look and told the owner that the varied content would be seen by the search engines as "spam". Google is very clear; sites with no real intent of providing a quality experience for visitors are not welcome in the AdSense program. Several weeks later, the person wrote back; they had received "the letter". I don't know if what I saw is what got them banned or not; but it sure did not help.

Even though we do create sites with the intent of earning AdSense income, everyone must remember that quality content is a vital component of AdSense Success.

Adsense is a contextual advertisement program run by Google, and I am sure you've seen "Ads by Google" on a variety of websites (this is Adsense in action). Here are some things you must keep in mind before you start the ambitious project of creating a website for yourself or your business.

1. Test a host's customer support service before you become a member - some never answer their phones. Make sure that you can access their support and technical department and they have a quick response time.

2. Do not go for the cheapest plan offered. Read the reviews of other users before you sign up for the host. Consider their customers' recommendations and experience instead of just comparing the prices and the packages.

3. Look closely at the host's guarantee. Most of these guarantees are worthless so be careful - read the fine print.

4. Check if the host is legit by doing a WHOIS. Also check their creation date, if their domain name is less than a year old, you are taking more risk by joining them. Join a web host that has a good reputation and has been in the business for at least 5 years.

5. Beware of a web host that offers their yearly membership at very cheap price. If their price is too good to be true, be skeptical of their service. If you have problems with them in the future, it will be harder for you to transfer to another web host.

What is content management, and how does it affect you as a "wanna be" website owner?

It's now documented that more than 70% of people in North America turn to the internet first to find information and items and services to buy.

That being said, it seems axiomatic that anyone that's in the business of providing something to business or home consumers really needs to have their own website on the internet.

If their business isn't on line, then having a basic, well built website launched will improve the chances by 100% that an on line visitor can now find their site and could do business with them. If they have no web presence, then they cannot be found. It's a fairly simple concept, yes?

So, the first step in improving the visibility of the business is to have their own website.

And if that business doesn't have a need to update their website information frequently with pictures, descriptions, prices etc., then a basic, static website of a few pages will provide all of the web presence that business needs.

But what about the website for a business that has dynamic product; items that change regularly and for which there is a need for someone to update the website fairly often?

If a website is designed without CM (content management) then every time that site needs to be updated, it will necessitate a call to the web builder to make the changes.

Depending on your arrangements with that website builder, there may or may not be a charge for the update and certainly, there will often be a lag time between the request and when the change actually takes place.

Few website builders are sitting and waiting with nothing to do, just waiting for you to call and give them a task. :-)

For websites that require frequent change, a better option is to have the site originally designed and built with CM as part of any of the website pages that have to be updated regularly. If the CM package is properly installed, then the website owner (or their designate), not the website builder, can make the changes as and when needed.

Content management can be build into the page coding, and using a CM "backend" the website builder can provide the website owner with access to a WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) page editor that is straightforward to use, offers text and image capabilities typical of word processing software, and when the changes are complete, the website owner simply saves the edited file, and the "back end" on the server converts the changes into appropriate code for those changes to be reflected on the actual website page.

The downside of a CM enabled website is that it will likely cost a bit more up front.

The upside is, and depending on the number and frequency of changes to be made on your site, significant savings can be enjoyed by the website owner in not having (perhaps) to pay additionally each time a change on their site is made, and certainly, there should be savings in time, as when a change is required, the site owner or designate can implement that change right away.

Content Management sites cost more as there's almost always additional cost to the website builder.

On a recent CM site we built, there were over 1,000 additional files to be uploaded to the server to run the "back end" of the CM for that one site. So there's additional cost to the builder for securing the software to manage the CM, and hours more time to actually implement the coding to make the CM work for that website.

Still, though a CM website costs a bit more up front, if there's a need to change information on pages on that site frequently, requesting that pages be CM enabled up front will almost always lead to lower costs for the website owner over the long haul.

Suatu hari seorang guru TK berbagi pengalaman dengan saya. Di awal masa dia mengajar di TK dia bingung bagaimana memperkenalkan komputer pada anak-anak usia dini. Taman Kanak-Kanak ini juga menyediakan pelajaran komputer untuk pertama kalinya. Dia tidak dapat membayangkan bagaimana mengajar komputer pada anak-anak itu. Terlebih pelajaran ini diperkenalkan juga pada anak-anak Kelompok Bermain.

Ketika dia bergabung dalam kelas komputer dia menemukan teman guru yang mengajar komputer mendapatkan kesulitan-kesulitan. Anak-anak itu tidak dapat duduk dengan baik, kadangkala mereka menendang CPU atau menjatuhkan mouse atau menekan semua tombol.

Setelah beberapa kali pertemuan ketika guru komputer telah menjelaskan teori dan anak-anak itu sudah mencoba mengoperasikan, mereka menikmati pelajaran ini. Dimulai dengan menghidupkan monitor, menunggu layar siap, menggerakkan mouse, memilih program, mengetik nama mereka, mulai memainkan game edukatif. Tentu saja guru membantu mereka dengan beberapa petunjuk, hingga mereka mampu mengoperasikan sendiri komputer.

Setelah beberapa bulan beberapa orangtua memberitahu guru-guru bahwa mereka juga membiarkan anak-anak mereka bermain komputer di rumah. PC bukan lagi dimiliki dan digunakan oleh orang dewasa. Anak-anak juga menjadi akrab dengan mesin ini dan siap menghadapi dunia teknologi modern. Sangat baik dan berguna untuk anak-anak mengenal komputer. Ini dapat membantu mereka mengikuti perintah dengan teratur, mengajar mereka untuk sabar, mengasah motorik halus mereka dan menunjang kecerdasan dengan games edukatif. Keyword atau kata kunci ini biasanya mereka cari melalui mesin pencari Google dan mesin pencari Yahoo. Yang terbanyak keyword atau kata kunci tersebut di cari menggunakan mesin pencari Google.

Keyword atau kata kunci yang menduduki peringkat atas yang sering dipakai oleh pengguna internet baik dari dalam negeri maupun luar negeri adalah kata-kata yang mengandung kontent pornografi, maaf demi etika posting saya tidak akan meyebutkan kata kunci atau keyword
tersebut.

Yang menduduki peringkat kedua adalah kata game dikombinasi dengan kata gratis download: game gratis, download game, sedangkan kata kunci yang menduduki peringkat ke tiga adalah free download yang dikombinasai dengan kata game dan software: free download game, free download software. Peringkat ke empat adalah download antivirus. Keyword atau kata kunci berikutnya yang cukup dipakai adalah komputer, kids, anak, barang gratis, cari duit dan program.

Login ke Blogger, lalu pilih blog yang akan diatur.
Masuk ke menu Settings, pilih Archiving.
Pada bagian Enable Post Pages? pilih Yes, lalu Save Settings.

Pada kotak paling bawah (Post Template), isikan kode seperti di bawah:

Hallo sobat tua dan muda dimanapun anda berada, kita jumpa lagi dalam acara Trik dan Tips . Dalam episode kali ini kita akan mencoba membahas tentang "Bagaimana Cara Membuat Postingan/Content Blog Agar Lebih Expressive. Maksudnya apaan tuh?

Trik Mudah membuat Read more

Lagi-lagi soal membuat fasilitas Read more.. atau Selengkapnya.. pada template baru (XML), topik ini rupanya yang paling banyak di baca dan di minati oleh para blogger baru. Hal ini terlihat dari banyaknya komentar yang masuk pada artikel tersebut, ada yang girang karena sudah merasa berhasil dan ada juga yang sedikit kecewa karena masih menemui kegagalan. Dengan masih adanya kegagalan-kegagalan tersebut, maka dapat di tarik kesimpulan bahwa metode yang saya sampaikan ternyata masih kurang untuk di pahami. Dari itu tentu harus di pikirkan cara yang tepat dalam penyampaian suatu panduan. Beberapa waktu yang lalu ada sebuah komentar yang masuk pada salah satu artikel saya (artikel yang mana saya lupa dan sedikit malas untuk membuka dokumen komentar) bahwa metoda penyampaian tersebut sangatlah mudah untuk di pahami, maka pada kesempatan kali ini saya akan mencoba metoda tersebut pada artikel membuat fungsi Read more.. atau Selengkapnya...

Saran saya, ketika anda melakukan Editting pada kode template, sebaiknya jangan memakai browser Internet Explorer terutama Internet Explorer 6, pakailah browser lain semisal FireFox ataupun Opera. Bagi yang belum mempunyai browser FireFox bisa mendownloadnya secara gratis di sini! dan untuk Opera bisa mendownloadnya di sini! Kenapa jangan memakai Internet Explorer? ini merupakan pengalaman pribadi saya ketika melakukan editting sering menemukan pesan error ketika memakai IE, dan apabila memakai browser lain pesan Error tersebut tidak muncul (proses edtting sukses), dan saya pernah membaca di blogger forum banyak yang melaporkan isu ini dan pihak blogger sendiri menyarankan untuk sementara memakai browser lain selain IE (maaf lupa catat alamat link nya).

Bagi yang belum sukses membuat fungsi read more..., coba ikuti langkah berikut ini :

* Sign in di blogger dengan id anda.

* Klik Pengaturan

* Klik Format

* Pada layar paling bawah, ada text area kosong disamping tulisan Template Posting, isi tesxt area kosong tersebut dengan kode di bawah ini :

* Klik tombol Simpan Pengaturan

Pemasangan kode ini di maksudkan agar pada saat posting artikel, kode tersebut langsung muncul tanpa harus menuliskan terlebih dahulu, jadi membantu kita agar tidak harus selalu mengingat kode tersebut.

Langkah #2

* Klik menu Dasboard

* Klik menu Layout

* Klik menu Edit HTML

* Klik tulisan Download Template Selengkapnya.

* Silahkan save dulu template tersebut, ini di maksudkan untuk mengurangi resiko apabila terjadi kesalahan ketika melakukan editting pada template, kita masih punya back up data untuk mengembalikannya seperti semula

* Beri tanda centang pada kotak di samping tulisan Expand Template Widget , lihat gambar di bawah :

Cara Mencopy Gambar di Layar Monitor

Beberapa teman pembaca blog ini sering melihat bahwa gambar yang di suguhkan berupa gambar hasil dari mengcopy dari layar monitor, dan ada diantaranya yang masih belum mengetahui bagaimana cara mengcopy gamabar pada layar monitor, misal gambar hasil copian seperti ini :

Untuk mengcopy gambar yang ada di layar monitor anda sangatlah mudah, akan tetapi anda memerlukan software pengolah gambar agar gambar hasil dari pengcopian bisa di atur tinggi dan lebarnya agar bisa pas dengan halaman post anda. Jenis software pengolah gambar sangatlah banyak, namun agar menemui keseragaman kang rohman mencontohkan dengan memakai software photoshop. Begininih caranya :

Buka software photoshop nya.
Klik menu file kemudian klik new, untuk membuat halaman baru.
Buka halaman yang ingin anda copy, misal buka halaman blog kang rohman ini.
Apabila halaman yang akan di copy sudah terlihat di layar monitor, tekan tombol Ctrl berbarengan dengan tombol Print Screen ( Ctrl + Print Screen ) pada keyboard anda.
Buka kembali halaman photoshop nya.
Tekan tombol Ctrl berbarengan dengan tombol V ( Ctrl + V ) pada keybord anda. Sekarang gambar yang ada di monitor anda sudah ada di photoshop namun ukurannya masih sangat besar (seukuran layar monitor anda).
Masih pada halaman photoshop. Untuk mengatur besarnya gambar tadi, silahkan klik menu Image yang ada di bagian paling atas. Setelah keluar opsi, silahkan pilih Image Size… silahkan tentukan besarnya gambar yang ingin di tampilkan di blog anda.
Untuk menyimpan gambar tadi, klik menu File >> Save for Web… >> save.
Selesai, tinggal di upload saja ke blogger atau yang lainnya.

Sebenarnya tidak harus pada software editor gambar, pada microsoftword pun bisa. Pada intinya untuk mengcopy gambar dari layar monitor adalah Ctrl + Print Screen, dan untuk mempaste nya cukup dengan Ctrl + V.

Artikel-artikel yang diposting, kadang-kadang memang perlu untuk dikelompokkan atau dikategorikan sesuai dengan tema/topiknya. Dengan adanya pengkategorian atau pengelompokan artikel yang telah diposting dapat lebih mempermudah bagi para pembaca untuk memilih artikel mana yang ingin dibaca. Di Blogger untuk membuat kategori dikenal dengan istilah Label.

Dalam episode kali ini (kayak sinetron aja pake istilah "episode") saya akan mencoba membahas mengenai bagaimana cara untuk membuat kategori atau label. Pertama-tama yang harus kamu lakukan yaitu membaca "Bismillah" he..he.. :)
Login ke blogger lalu Klik Posting --> Edit Post

* Membuat Kategori / Label
Pilih atau beri tanda centang pada artikel yang ingin diberi label/dikategorikan. Lalu pada Combo box (yang ada tulisannya "label action") pilih "New Label" lalu beri nama label tersebut.

jadi deh...

* Menghapus Kategori / Label
Beri tanda centang pada postingan yang ingin dihapus labelnya, trus klik combo box trus klik label dibawah tulisan "Remove label", Nha jadi deh....

* Mengganti Kategori / Label
Hapus dulu label yang ada, kemudian kasih label baru.

Trus bagaimana cara memasang/menampilkannya di blog?
Gini nih caranya:
1. Klik Template --> Page Elements
2. Tambahkan page elements kemudian pilih Label trus disitu atur sendiri :P

Nobody gets unlimited amount of time to practice so it becomes important to divide up the most productive segments which is available. You can start with a smaller amount of practice. Daily practice for an hour or two will develop the muscles evenly and you can maintain them in peak form.

You need to divide your practice time so that you can cover the main topics. There are four phases listed bellow which will guide you.

Purely technical practice for muscular development and maintenance.
Work on the current new piece.
Some sight-reading of new material.
Performance of existing repertoire.

The improvement and maintenance of mechanical skills is important in the first phase. This phase is rewarding and is seen fairly quickly. The technique should not become the only goal because it is the means, not the end. It serves to warm up the finger that is why this phase is best done first.

The second phase involves the process of learning and working on a new piece that is from its initial reading to the final memorization and polishing. When you start practicing early your mind becomes fresh and you will be able to cope up with the necessary detailed concentration.

Next is the third phase which is probably the most neglected by amateurs. Reading one line of unknown music a day are phenomenal and can be achieved in a year.

The last and the final phase are most enjoyable and it should not be neglected. The advantage of polishing of the final version is mainly for pleasure which involves the playing of repertoire that has been already learned and memorized. A good player will perform for friends and family or at some more formal venue.

The Gibson SG guitar is one of the most coveted guitars in history. Many musicians over the years have fallen in love with the SG and have remained loyal to Gibson. Here is a bit of the history of the SG for you to enjoy.

Around the year 1960, the Gibson guitar makers were suffering through a sales slump. Not that the Les Paul was not selling, as it was and very nicely. The trouble was that music was evolving and musicians were looking for a sound, or tone, different from what the Les Paul offered.

So in 1961, Gibson radically altered the body shape so it was now thinner, more lightweight and now featured a double cutaway neck area that permitted deeper access to the higher frets. The neck took on a heavier construction and the neck joint was raised approximately three frets higher. This was done in hopes of competing with Fender's Stratocaster model, which was gaining popularity then.

The new design was marketed with the "fastest neck in the world" and this was largely a fact. The neck had a thinner profile (from the side) and with the higher neck joint, the heel was no longer an obstruction, as was the case with the Les Pauls.

Another name was sought because the guitar looked nothing like a Les Paul. Since the guitar was it's inventor's namesake, Les Paul (the inventor of the electric guitar and the Les Paul design) asked that his name removed from the new design completely.

So, the good people at Gibson brainstormed and called the new model an "SG". Ironically enough, this was simply short for "solid guitar".

The Gibson factory had an abundance of plastic "Les Paul" nameplates in stock. So even though Les Paul's name was removed in 1961, Gibson continued to manufacture SG's with the nameplate between the topmost pickup and the fret board until the end of 1963. Finding one of these early SG's with a Les Paul nameplate would truly be a valuable collector's item.

Since the SG was introduced in early 1961, numerous variations have been made carrying the SG name. There was a standard model (SG Standard) as well as a junior model (SG Junior). Then the top of the line Gibson SG Custom made the scene. Curiously, the SG Customs manufactured from 1961-63 did not say 'SG' on them, yet they did have a Les Paul signature plate under the fret board, as did all Les Paul's.

From 1961 to early '63, the truss rod cover on the SG Standard was engraved with "Les Paul". The SG featured a small pick guard on models made between 1961 and 1965. Then, in 1966, another slight redesigning took place. Now the SG had a different type of neck joint and a batwing-shaped pick guard appeared on models from 1967 upwards.

The design was firm until around 1970 or so. The year 1971 saw the release of a new version of the SG with a floating pick guard reminiscent of the Les Paul. Also the control plate was mounted from the front to decrease construction cost.

A variety of quality tailpieces were offered as options as well. Notable ones were the "Maestro", the "Lyre Vibrola" and the Bigsby vibrato tremolo arm. A few new designs were brought into play with the new tailpiece design. A few of these were the SG 100 (a low end version that was more affordable) and the SG 200 (with two single coil pickups). On the higher end of the SG spectrum were the SG Pro and the SG Deluxe models.

Gibson returned to the original design of the SG in 1973. The pick guard went retro to the small original pick guard and the controls were moved to the rear again and the neck was set deeper into the body with a joining point around the twentieth fret. But by the end of that decade, all the SG models reverted mostly to the old design. Current models are now made with 1967-1969 constructions, the larger LP style pick guard that encases the pickups on the SG body. Variations are still available with the small pick guard. Re-issues of the SG are common and popular.

These guitars resemble their 1960's brothers except that a stop tailpiece is now standard. Models of the SG with a vibrato tailpiece are now a custom item or a special edition model.

The first SG that had active factory pickups was introduced in 1980. Gibson tested an SG model with the same active Moog electronics that were being used (or had been used) in a previous model called the RD Artist. This experimental SG sported a thicker body due to the extraneous added circuitry. This model was lovingly nicknamed the "Gibson SG-R1".

The SG-R1 was made of solid mahogany with a black glossy finish. It had no pick guard, the fret inlays were "dots" opposed to original trapezoid shapes and it featured transparent barrel knobs for the treble and bass controls ranging from "0" to "+5" or "-5" instead of "1" to "10". There was also an extra switch to activate a "boost" on the bridge pickup.

The SG-R1 had a fixed bridge with a tremolo/whammy bar standard. Gibson renamed the SG-R1 the "SG Artist" circa 1981 and subsequently discontinued it. Of these SG's, there were only about 200 ever made.

Today the Gibson SG guitar is still as popular as ever and is used by some of the top guitarists to ever strap on an axe. Some of Gibson's loyal users are Angus Young (AC/DC), Hank Williams Jr, Jeff Tweedy (Wilco), Marilyn Manson, Nic Cester (Jet), Pete Townshend (The Who), Shakira and Tony Iommi (Black Sabbath).

Acoustic Guitar Cords - Learn a Few Play a Lot

Several notes played simultaneously is called an acoustic guitar chord. Even with many different acoustic guitar chords, if you learn just a few basic acoustic guitar chords, you will be able to play hundreds of songs, if not more. Major chords give out a cheerful sound while minor chords emit a sound that seems darker or sadder.

Acoustic guitar chord diagrams notate guitar chords. Rather than side to side (horizontal) the way guitar tabs run, the lines that represent an acoustic chord diagram will run up and down, or vertically. You will see a grid when looking at a chord diagram. The strings are represented by the vertical lines, while the frets are represented by the horizontal lines. The areas where you need to hold the string down is where the dots appear.

Numbers will be at the top or bottom of the acoustic guitar chord diagram. This diagram represents the finger that holds down each strong - 1 means the index finger, 2 means the middle finger, 3 the ring finger, and 4 the pinky. If you see a 0, that means to leave the string open when you play. On the other hand, an X means an string open that is not played. And occasionally you'll see T used. This means to use your thumb to play, but this does not occur too often.

The first acoustic guitar chord we're going to tackle is the G-major chord. Your middle finger goes on the sixth string at the third fret, your index finger goes on the fifth string at the second fret and your ring finger goes on the first string on the third fret. Play each individual note, including the open strings one by one. Be careful you can plainly hear each note and make sure you don't hear any strange buzzing or rattling noises from the strings. If the sound isn't right, you can try pushing harder on the string so that it presses closer to the fingerboard. You can also bring your finger closer to the fret. Your fingers should not be touching one another, or any of the other strings. You can strum all of the notes in unison once the sound is good. You will then be playing a G-major acoustic guitar chord.

The E-minor acoustic guitar chord is easier on the left hand. The E-minor chord uses only two left-hand fingers: the index and middle fingers, both on the second fret, of the fifth and fourth strings respectively. Make sure that both strings are held firmly without the two fingers touching each other. You may want to play those two strings several times by themselves before attempting the chord, so you can adjust the fingering if needed. Then strum all strings to play an E minor chord.Since this is a minor chord, the sound will be darker.

If you are a beginner, good basic acoustic guitar chords to learn are A-major, A-minor, C-major and D-major. You should try to move back and forth between the acoustic guitar chords as quickly as you can. Practicing quick finger placement is critical.

Learning to play acoustic guitar chords will not happen quickly or easily at first and you will have to keep checking your finger placement. But if you continue to practice, practice, practice, the muscle memory will soon take over and you will be moving freely through all of the acoustic guitar chords. In a short time it will become second nature to you.

The most common form and the first you'd learn from any blues guitar lessons is the 12 bar blues progression, which consists of the root or tonic "one" chord, the subdominant "four" chords and the dominant "five" chord.

So, basically, once you learn how to play guitar chords and strum a few different rhythm patterns, you can have a fairly vast repertoire of songs that you'll be able to play at your disposal.

Shuffle along to Memphis
Although there are many different rhythmic variations that you can use when you learn how to play guitar playing the blues, the most common rhythm is the shuffle, which has a "swing" feel to it. Although the shuffle has a feel all of it's own, it can be best described as each beat being divided into three sub-divisions (call triplets) instead of the two divisions found in most rock music.

Students are commonly told to express triplets, "one-trip-let two-trip-let three-trip-let four-trip-let" with an even amount of time for each syllable.

To achieve the swing feel, the middle syllable is silent: "One- -let two- -let three- -let four- -let..."

This feel can be articulated on the guitar with a down stroke strum for the downbeats (the one, two, three and four), and an up stroke for every "let": down- -up down- -up down- -up down- -.

Variations on a theme
There are a couple of commonly used variations of the 12 bar blues chord progression that you'll find in most blues guitar lessons: the quick four and the long five.

The quick four changes to the four chord on the second measure, and back to the one for the third and fourth measure:

The long five holds the five chords for an extra measure rather than moving down to the four chord for the tenth measure:

It is not uncommon for each of the chords; the one, four and five, to be used in the dominate 7 forms. The "standard" seven chords you learned when you were learning how to play guitar chords. For example, if we were to play the progression in the key of A, the three chords we use would be A7, D7 and E7.

The flat 7 in these chords is considered a "blue note", a sound that is characteristic of the blues.

Another one of these notes is the minor 3rd. The minor third that the lead player is playing against the major third the rhythm guitarist is playing is among the coolest sounds in the world.

The 12 bar blues progression can also be played in minor keys. The natural minor form is:

Learning to Create Harmony

Learning to sing harmony can be a difficult task for some. There are singers who are awesome at singing lead but don't have a clue as to how to sing harmony.

The most common way of learning has traditionally been through singing along with a congregation at a church service. Most Southern congregations sing in 3 part harmony. What is 3 part harmony? Three part harmony is when you hear 3 tones at the same time. You hear soprano (the highest note) alto, (the middle note) and tenor (which is the lowest note). There are also other notes like the bass note, and baritone. For simplicity sake, we are not going to discuss the bass, and baritone notes. Generally all the men are singing tenor or bass and the women are singing soprano and alto.

The easiest way to create harmonies if you don't naturally have an ear for harmony (can hear what notes blend together) is to use a piano or keyboard. You would play three notes that are close to each other and sound in sync with each other. This is called a triad chord.

Next you would have 3 vocalists sing each note that you have identified as blending with each other at the same time. Every note can blend with numerous other notes and produce beautiful sounds vocally.

A good way of identifying whether harmonies blend is to close your eyes and listen to the three notes. Most people whether they are musically inclined or not can detect bad notes.

Listen to some of your favorite songs and try to pick out the different notes that you hear. (soprano, alto, and tenor) Listen to how they relate to each other. Notice how they appear to be the same sounds but with different tones. Lastly, test it out with 3 singers. Create a harmony for a simple song that you know and give each person one of the 3 notes that we mentioned above. This should very well put you on your way to creating beautiful harmonies. Beberapa diantara situs-situs tersebut memang dimaksudkan untuk menunjukkan kepiawaian pengelola/desainer situs web memasukkan beragam teknologi tersebut ke dalam situs mereka dan ditujukan untuk pengunjung situs yang memiliki koneksi yang cepat ke internet.

Beberapa teknologi web
• Bahasa pemrograman Java yang merupakan sebuah bahasa pemrograman berbasis objek yang dapat diintegrasikan dengan file HTML melalui objek khusus yang disebut applet.

• Teknologi CGI yang merupakan mekanisme komunikasi interaktif client-server. Dengan menggunakan CGI maka pengunjung dapat melakukan interaksi dengan situs web secara interaktif. Script CGI dapat dibuat dengan menggunakan Perl, shell UNIX, C, ataupun bahasa pemrograman lainnya.

Dengan menggunakan aplikasi Afterburner, programmer director dapat mengompres dan menciptakan dokumen Shockwave yang dapat dilihat dari berbagai browser yang telah diinstall Plug-In Shockwave.

Pujasera, seperti itulah nama tempat makan yang brand image populer di kalangan masyarakat, bahkan kerap kali dengan mengajak keluarga, handai taulan, serta rekan bisnis sekalipun, pujasera dianggap cukup mengangkat gengsi si pembawanya, karena memang lokasinya terkesan semarak dengan di lengkapi berbagai hiburan dan pramusaji yang cukup menarik perhatian.

Lazimnya wadah makan baru yang perlu sedikit promosi pada saat pembukaannya, Windsor Food Court mulai pukul 19.30 WIB hingga selesai menghibur pengungjung yang tengah sibuk memesan dan menyantap hidangannya dengan kemeriahan atraksi atraksi barongsai dan hiburan panggung yang menghadirkan lima orang artis Indonesia. Dalam acara itu, tak ketinggalan juga pemberian lucky draw dengan beraneka macam hadiah menarik kepada para pengunjung yang hadir.

‘’Kami tetap akan menjaga komitmen pelayanan yang baik dan ramah bagi pengunjung, makanya kami menegaskan kepada para tenant, agar mengedepankan nilai kesopanan dalam melayani pengungjung, agar WF selalu ramai di kemudian hari,’’ ungkap Along, Manajer Operasional WF kepada DK.Owner WF< Lie Dwi Marlyna mengaku menerima masukan dan kritik dari berbagai pihak yang pernah merasakan hidangan menu dan pelayanan di WF. Hal tersebut, katanya sebagai bentuk kepedulian WF untuk tetap menjaga jalur pelayanan yang stabil mengikuti perkembangan hari ke hari, sehingga harapan perkembangan usaha pujasera miliknya justru di dukung selalu pelanggan setia.
"Kami akan memberikan pelayanan yang spesial kepada para pengunjung , kata Lie Dwi Marlyna, sang pemilik berdarah China tersebut.Lahan Windsor Food Court yang berdekatan dengan satu kompleks pertokoan dan perumahan Windsor, dinilai cukup strategis dari segi segmentasi maupun ruang lingkup, karena berdekatan dengan kegiatan di perkotaan pada malam hari . WF pun optimis menjanjikan tempat bersantap keluarga favourit yang representatif dengan jaminan keamanan dan fasilitas parkir gratis. Dengan penerapan seperti itu, sang pemilik Pujasera yang dibangun diatas tanah seluas kurang lebih 8.000 meter persegi dengan 47 konter makanan, mengaku cukup puas dalam perjalanannya hingga sekarang, bahkan di pujasera tersebut berjanji akan menambah fasilitas baru yang mencakup kebutuhan keluarga seperti taman bermain bagi anak-anak, sehingga pada saat para orang tua menyantap hidangan dapat dengan leluasa membiarkan anak-anaknya bermain di taman yang di sediakan pengelola dan tidak di pungut biaya.

Menyangkut urusan menu yang di sajikan, pujasera WF menjamin selera lidah yang variatif seperti penyediaan tenant yang menyajikan ratusan jenis makanan Mulai dari masakan khas daerah Minang, Jawa, Menado, Palembang sampai sea food yang dimasak dengan resep khas Cina dan khas Indonesia.

‘’Konsepnya sama saja seperti pujasera di negara tetangga, Singapura,’’ungkap Lie.Beberapa tenant yang hingga kini masih komitmen berusaha di pujasera tersebut antara lain, 999 Seafood, 868 Tiram Goreng, ikan bakar dan yong tahun, 818 Martabak Manis, 328 Sua Te Bak, Han-han gorengan, Aneka Juice, bak kut the, mie pangsit dan sate mie, sayap bakar Semarang, ikan bakar Lubuk Pakam, 328 Cok Tau Suang, nasi bebek and ayam, steak ayam obat, dan Sui Yen vegetarian food serta beraneka macam lainnya yang memang cukup banyak kalau mesti di tulis satu persatu.

"Kami memberikan gratis sewa selama satu bulan waktu itu kepada para tenant agar mereka tertarik. Maka di hari spesial pembukaan pujasera, mereka pun memberikan harga khusus berupa diskon semua item makanan dari 20 sampai 30 persen," ujar Lie lagi.Windsor Food Court yang memiliki jam buka dari pukul 17.00 sampai pukul 01.00 WIB diklaim cukup istimewa dan beda dengan lainnya karena pujasera ini merupakan tempat makan semi terbuka. Dari luas keseluruhan 8.000 meter persegi, 50 persen dialokasikan untuk lahan parkir yang mampu memuat 200 mobil. Sekelilingnya dipagari tembok-tembok konter makanan. Namun, di bagian atasnya tidak tertutup. Para pengunjung bisa menikmati hidangan sambil melihat sinar rembulan dan bintang-bintang. Juga sapuan angin malam."Untuk kenyamanan pengunjung, kami telah menyiapkan terpal lipat yang sewaktu-waktu bisa dijadikan atap bila hari hujan. Jadi walaupun terbuka atasnya, tetap aman dari hujan," tambah Lie lagi.Enaknya lagi, pengunjung tidak dibebankan biaya parkir alias gratis. Sambil menikmati sajian, para orang tua tidak perlu khawatir dengan putra-putri mereka. Sebab, pengelola pujasera telah menyiapkan satu areal tempat bermain anak-anak. Biar suasana makan jadi lebih meriah, juga disediakan fasilitas karaoke, lengkap dengan panggungnya. "Semua fasilitas tambahan ini gratis. Pengunjung bisa berkaraoke sepuasnya tapi tetap bergantian," jelasnya.

Dalam perkembangannya, pujasera terkesan menjadi obyek wisata makan yang cukup digandrungi masyarakat, mengingat lokasi wisata bahari yang memang menyajikan makanan khas laut di Batam, belum terlalu memberikan pilihan yang berarti apalagi dengan letak lokasi pesisir dari perkotaan yang cukup jauh, sehingga pertimbangan keamanan masih di ragukan untuk melakukan road hingga kawasan pesisir seperti Nongsa, Batu Besar dan Relang.

Pantauan DK, selain beberapa pujasera yang telah cukup lama beroperasi seperti Nagoya Foodcourt, Windsor Foodcourt, A1 dan B1 yang kesemuanya berada di kawasan Nagoya Jodoh, kini geliatnya mulai mempengaruhi kawasan Batamcentre dan kawasan lain di Batam. Sebut saja, tempat makan Ikan Daun yang memakai halaman gedung Matahari kini dengan konsep modern style, dengan hiasan lampu berbentuk kotak siap memberikan sajian dan pelayanan khasnya. Tak ketinggalan juga, RM Pondok Makan Ikan Bakar yang memanfaatkan lahan di sisi Bank Bukopin yang baru berumur 2 minggu itu telah mampu menyedot minat pengunjung cukup ramai dengan sajian andalan ikan bakar yang berbeda dari yang lain.

Yudi Karya (35), salah satu pengunjung RM Pondok Makan Ikan Bakar kepada DK mengaku sangat menyukai menu yang di sajikan tempat makan ini, karena memang dari segi rasa dan cara pembuatannya cukup unik, dimana proses pembakaran yang steril dan dapat langsung di lihat oleh pengunjung pemesan menjadi nillai tambah bagi komitmen memberikan kepuasan pelayanan dan cita rasa menu itu sendiri.

Pria yang mengaku kelahiran Palembang ini juga, mengatakan dirinya sering kali mencoba tempat makan yang baru di buka. Selain mengikuti keinginan perut, Yudi juga merasa senang dengan perubahan suasana saat menyantap hidangan dan tentu saja suasana di anggapnya sangat mempengaruhi selera makan.

‘’Percuma kan kalau makananya enak tapi suasananya membosankan,’’ tukasnya sembari tertawa renyah.

Tak di nyana, maraknya perkembangan pujasera ini pun menjadikan kompetitor usaha semakin berlomba-lomba mencari terobosan baru menyangkut urusan pelayanan yang terbaik, demi menjaga kestabilan denyut usaha mereka yang tentunya berharap dengan suatu perkembangan. Dampak positif yang dapat terserap, semakin banyak pengunjung yang berasal dari Negara tetangga maupun wisatawan domestik yang tertarik untuk sekedar berjalan-jalan mencari lokasi makan yang menarik minat dengan pertimbangan pelayanan masing-masing pujasera.

Meningkatnya pertumbuhan usaha pujasera tersebut juga harus di akui korelasinya dengan penyerapan tenaga kerja di Batam yang kini masih menjadi perhatian penting bagi pemerintah untuk mencarikan jalan keluarnya. Seperti di Windsor Foodcourt, dipastikan menyerap tenaga kerja sedikitnya 50 orang, sehingga jika diperhitungkan pertumbuhan pujasera dari tahun ke tahun yang mengalami peningkatan 75 persen dari data Dinas Pariwisata dan Kebudayaan, tentunya akan berpengaruh pada menurunnya angka pengangguran di Batam.

‘’Penyerapan tenaga kerja dari sektor ini cukup kecil, tapi dapat membantu program pengentasan pengangguran,’’ ucap Arifin Nasir, Kepala Dinas Pariwisata.

Wisata Religius ‘’Patung Dewi Kwan Im" salah satu destinasi wisata di Batam

Pencapaian kreatifitas dalam mengembangkan usaha di sektor kepariwisataan diketahui tidak hanya harus melulu menggali potensi normatif dan bersifat umum, karena kenyataan dan pembuktian di seluruh dunia, imajinasi dan pengetahuan akan suatu ketokohan pun cukup potensial di jadikan obyek perhatian dari sisi wisata tentunya. KTM Resort yang berlokasi di pinggir laut utara Batam contohnya, dengan memanfaatkan lahan di pesisir di Tanjung Pinggir, Sekupang mampu menyedot pengunjung dari dmestik maupun mancanegara dengan suatu pameran kewisataan ‘’Patung Dewi Kwan Im’’ yang memang cukup di kenal dari cerita sejarah pemeluk agama Budha.

Perhatian pengunjung yang tidak dapat di akal-akal dan cenderung tertarik akan nilai obyek yang di tampilkan karena nilai sejarah dan cerita obyek itu sendiri, seperti Candi Borobudur, Candi Prambanan, Masjid Raja Pulau Penyengat serta Kuburan-kuburan para pejuang yang justru mendapat minat tersendiri di hati pengunjung untuk sekedar melihat-lihat atau bahkan keingin tahuan akan sejarah obyek yang di perhatikan.

Untuk itu lah, Obyek Wisata religius menjadi sangat diminati nilai nya dan dianggap menjadi kenang-kenangan yang memicu sugesti diri bagi pengunjung dalam pemanjaan dirinya. Pemahaman konsep tersebut tertangkap pengelola KTM Resort, Djui Tjie Eng yang merasakan dampak positif bagi perkembangan kawasan wisatanya yang juga mengandalkan pemandangan laut yang mempunyai nilai eksentrik, karena dapat memandang pulau-pulau hijau dan gedung-gendung bertingkat Negara tetangga, Singapura secara jelas dan nyaman.

Djui Tjie Eng yang mengaku konsep awal pengembangan KTM Resort hanya di peruntukan bagi keluarga, handai tauland dan kolega bisnis si empunya, kini justru berharap dapat lebih memberikan aksen kemajuan dengan terus di tingkatkannya pemeliharaan fasilitas di dalamnya berupa –Villa- yang dapat di sewa umum dengan harga yang dirasa cukup terjangkau, serta kolam renangnya.

Dengan modal keoptimisan itu, Djui mulai secara perlahan menerapkan sistem pengembangan kawasan wisata religius yang dapat di nikmati khalayak umum, dengan pertimbangan dan konsekwensi yang umuim pula tentunya. Namun demikian, Djui mengaku belum secara optimal menerapkan sistem tersebut, mengingat di perlukannya kesiapan personel serta kelengkapan perizinan pemanfaatan obyek wisata umum yang harus di lakukan perubahan dari konsep awal termasuk izin obyek wisata bahari.

‘’Secara perlahan kita akan buka untuk umum, tentunya kami juga akan menyiapkan segala keperluan untuk memberikan pelayanan kepada masyarakat pengunjung, agar tidak muncul masalah dalam perjalananya,’’ kata Djui optimis.

Proses pembuatan dan pengaturan tata letak ‘’Patung Dewi Kwan Im’’ sendiri di ketahui merupakan salah bentuk kreatifitas yang bernilai cerdas tinggi untuk kreativitas untuk menarik wisatawan di Batam meski pada awal-awal penempatan, terjadi sedikit pro kontra pada tahun 2004, karena posisi patung di atas bukit dan menjorok ke laut dianggap secfara tersirat menetapkan kota Batam sebagai kotanya Dewi Kwan Im Pro kontra pun akhirnya berhasil di redam dengan kesepakatan pemindahan patung ke titik yang lebih rendah di tengah bukit, sehingga nilai tambahnya di anggap menjadi berkurang karena kini patung tersebut tidak tampak lagi dari arah laut yang seyogyanya telah cukup menarik hati dari sisi pemandangan (view).

Ceritanya, Patung itu diturunkan karena pada saat dibangun proyek itu tidak memiliki izin. Padahal, di Batam banyak bangunan tanpa Izin Mendirikan Bangunan (IMB) tetap berdiri, seperti rumah liar atau bangunan yang merambah pepohonan dan hutan-hutan di perbukitan, hingga akhirnya pemerintah sendiri yang secara tidak langsung mematikan prospek obyek wisata religius di pesisir pantai.Akan tetapi, persoalan patung Dewi Kwan Im itu bukan hanya masalah letak. Patung setinggi 21 meter itu menjadi salah satu kreativitas dalam menciptakan obyek wisata yang menarik, wisata religius. Patung dari bahan beton bertulang besi itu dibuat oleh pengusaha Singapura Koh Tiat Meng di Tanjung Pinggir, Sekupang, Batam. Kepala Kantor Imigrasi Batam I Gede Widiartha pun sempat mengakui , pembangunan patung di atas bukit itu sebenarnya sangat potensial. "Itu dapat menjadi daya tarik orang atau pengunjung asing ke Batam," katanya. Gede menilai, program dan obyek wisata di Batam belum dikelola maksimal. Padahal, banyak obyek wisata yang dapat digarap, seperti wisata bahari dan wisata religius untuk menyedot wisatawan mancanegara, termasuk dari Singapura. Menurut pengelola hotel dan restoran di kawasan patung Dewi Kwan Im berdiri, Djui Tjie eNg, perintis pembuatan patung itu adalah seorang pengusaha Singapura. Dia merasa membutuhkan ketenangan dan memilih Pulau Batam, khususnya Sekupang, untuk menenangkan diri. Akhirnya muncul gagasan untuk mendirikan patung itu. Di sekitar tempat pendirian patung itu juga didirikan obyek wisata seperti hotel dan restoran. Pada akhir pekan ratusan pengunjung mendatangi tempat itu. Ada yang hanya berdoa dan ada pula yang menginap di hotel atau villa tersebut. Bagaimanapun, dengan adanya patung itu muncul minat orang untuk datang ke hotel dan restoran di wilayah tersebut. Jika sektor pariwisata ditangani dan dikelola secara profesional, khususnya di Batam, Bintan, dan Karimun, jelas kegiatan ekonomi di daerah itu akan bergerak. Banyak sektor usaha yang dapat digerakkan, dari penerbangan, travel dan transportasi, perhotelan, restoran, penukaran uang (money changer), sampai usaha berskala kecil dan menengah yang memproduksi barang kerajinan.

Namun tak mau terlarut dalam persoalan tersebut, Djui Tjie Eng kini lebih tertarik berpikir mengembangkan sarana dan fasilitas yang normatif dapat di sajikan kepada pengunjung, seperti pengadaan ikan duyung, yang katanya di beli dari masyarakat pelaut di Telaga Punggur. Dengan adanya ikan duyung itu, KTM Resort pada hari sabtu dan Minggu kini selalu di padati pengunjung bhaik yang sekedar hendak melihat, menyentuh ikan duyung, serta menikmati hidangan dan hiburan di malam hari yang memang di setting pengelola sebagai sarana dan fasilitas KTM saat ini untuk memanjakan pengunjung yang hanya di kutip biaya retribusi parkir setiap masuk.

Selain itu, ada juga fasilitas bagi peminat kegiatan memancing di laut yang di sediakan piha pengelola. Namun hingga kini, peminat memancing masih di dominasi wisatawan yang bersal dari mancanegara, seperti Korea, Singapura, Taiwan dan lainnya.

‘’Orang Korea sering mancing di sini, kalau pengunjung domestik seringnya melihat-lihat patung dan makan saja,’’ ucapnya sambil menghirup minuman kalengnya di restoran KTM.

Wahyuni (23), pekerja Mukakuning asal Mojokerto kepada FNG, mengungkapkan KTM Resort sebenarnya cukup potensial untuk dijadikan kawaan obyek wisata umum, tapi dengan konsep awal yang terkesan lux justru membuat peminat kawasan wisata domestik menjadi enggan untuk berkunjung. Kedepan, Wahyuni yang datang ke KTM bersama rombongan wisata perusahaanya mengharapkan KTM dapat lebih mengikrarkan diri menjadi dwadah wisata yang reprensentatif bagi masyarakat umum dengan perbandingan fasilitas yang tidak relatif mahal, sehingga minat pengunjung untuk semakn meningkatr di kemudian hari.

‘’Wah kalau semakin di kembangkan saya yakin, obyek wisata di sini akan jauh lebih di minati ketimbang pantai,’’ katanya serya tertawa.
